Flexing their muscles in a bid for back-to-back Fall Classic crowns, the 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers took a two games-to-none advantage, overcoming a 6-0 deficit in Game 2 as Yankee starter Don Larsen yielded four walks and four runs in just an inning and two-thirds. (Larsen, of course, was a bit more effective just three days later.) Encapsulated and Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at Ebbets Field for that October 5, Game 2 confrontation that saw Brooklyn prevail 13-8. The “LOWER BOX” voucher showcases printed seating/event details, as well as the familiar script-style “Dodgers” logo. The lone specimen at its tier with only two graded higher, this Flatbush prize hails from the final chapter of a storied subway rivalry.
