The only pitcher to start Game 1 of four successive World Series showdowns, Hall of Famer Whitey Ford realized that impressive feat twice (1955-1958 and 1961-1964). Encapsulated and Graded VG 3 by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the 1961 Fall Classic as Ford again proved deserving of his top billing. Yielding two harmless singles in a 2-0 complete game shutout, Ford notched the eighth of his record 10 World Series pitching wins that day. The “MEZZANINE” voucher presents beautifully with vibrant colors, printed seating/event details and Yankees “Top hat” logos. This October heirloom is the lone specimen at its tier with only three graded higher.
