Description

“I'm just like everybody else. I have two arms, two legs and four-thousand hits.” With just a hint of sarcasm, Pete Rose made that definitive statement regarding a milestone that will likely never be reached again. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by SGC, this ticket stub was issued at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium for the April 13, 1984 contest in which Rose delivered that historic hit. At the tender age of 43, Rose belted a double off of Jerry Koosman in the bottom of the fourth inning to join Ty Cobb as the only other player with at least 4000 career hits. The crisp voucher features event/seating details printed in French. With a sturdy perforation, sharp edges/corners and clean reverse, the ticket presents beautifully. A handwritten notation of “home opener” on the obverse accounts for the technical assessment.
