After rigorous training that included dives forbidden in competition because of their inherent dangers, former U.S. Olympian Pat McCormick won Gold Medal honors in the Springboard and Platform events at both the 1952 Helsinki Olympics and the 1956 Melbourne games. During the 1952 opening ceremonies in Finland, McCormick wore this jacket. Complete with an American flag-themed Olympic ring patch sewn to the left breast, the jacket shows light wear and comes with an LOA signed by McCormick. More on our website.

The cream-colored, satin-line cotton button-down garment features a collar and standard lapels. The button path interiors are home to a “Rosenblum” manufacturer’s label and a partially detached “Haggarty’s” distributor’s tag.
