Description

With a league-best 78 complete games and an unprecedented 17-5 head-to-head mark against the Yankees, the 1930 Washington Senators vied for A.L. supremacy before a midseason swoon rendered them bridesmaids to the Athletics. This OAL Barnard ball is autographed by (18) of that season’s Griffith Stadium tenants. The medium-toned orb has scattered abrasions and blue ink pennings averaging (“6”) potency. Keys include: Cronin, Crowder, Hadley, Johnson (manager), Judge, Manush and Rice. Full photo LOA from JSA. More on our website.

Sweet Spot: Johnson (manager, “6” strength) and Manush (“5-6” strength); North Panel: Rice (“6-7” strength), Harris and Bluege; South Panel: Jones, Schacht (coach), Shires, Spencer, Crowder and Liska; West Panel: Judge, Myer, Burke and West; East Panel: Hadley, Cronin (“4” strength) and Brown
