Description

This circa 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers silk scarf embraces the squad which finally supplanted the Yankees for Gotham supremacy. Measures approximately 34x35 with rounded corners and added black ink notations reading "1955-1959 World Champions", "Los Angeles", "Coliseum" and "Chavez Ravine" with minimal bleeding. The artifact was designed for those on a first name basis with the Flatbush heroes including "Jackie," "Duke," "Pee Wee," "Cookie," and "Gil" among many others. Their given names and monikers fleck the path of designs depicting Ebberts field as well as Willard Mullin's beloved "Bum". The piece presents beautifully with still-vibrant colors and is free from tears or fissures of any kind. Despite the added notations, the overall presentation of the piece is outstanding.
