Description

In the seventh and final Brooklyn vs. Bronx Fall Classic showdown, the seemingly annual confrontation was marked by momentum shifts, a perfect game and a combined 15 home runs. After the Dodgers had taken a two games-to-none advantage at Ebbets Field, the series shifted to the Bronx, where Whitey Ford went the route on just two days rest to fulfill the hosts’ “must-win” battle cry. Encapsulated and Graded VG-EX 4, by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at Yankee Stadium for Game 3 of the 1956 World Series, a contest in which Ford authored his fourth of a record 10 Fall Classic mound triumphs and was backed by home runs from teammates Billy Martin and Enos Slaughter. One of four at its tier with only two graded higher, the crisp “BLEACHER” voucher features printed seating/event details and Yankees stars-and-stripes themed “top hat” logos. With sharp edges, rounded corners (by design) and a clean reverse, this survivor presents even nicer than the technical grade suggests.
