As his biceps and cranium grew noticeably larger, Barry Bonds’ longball totals escalated at a similarly freakish rate. Having entered the 2001 campaign just six home runs shy of the 500 milestone, Bonds not only eclipsed that plateau, but launched a single-season record 73 circuit clouts. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this full ticket was issued at Pac Bell Park for the October 7 regular season finale in which Bonds greeted Dennis Spring with a first-inning home run to up his season total to 73 and his lifetime mark to 567. The crisp voucher features printed seating/event details and presents beautifully. Note: the ticket was issued for the September 16 contest, which was postponed in the wake of the 9-11 attacks and rescheduled as the season finale on October 7.
