The scene on this 20x16 sepia-toned print is a familiar one: the Dodgers and Yankees in World Series action at Ebbets Field. What’s not of the norm, however, is the beloved “Bums” taking the upper hand. That’s precisely what is portrayed on this 1955 World Series photo as Pee Wee Reese is shown trotting to first base after coaxing a bases-loaded walk from Yankees reliever Tom Morgan to give the hosts a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the second in Game 3. The triumph helped propel the Dodgers to their first-ever title. Appropriately, (48) Brooklyn staples have signed the piece. Framed to dimensions of 26-5/8 x 22-5/8", the scene is decorated with blue Sharpie pennings that average ("9-10") potency against the stark white background of the Flatbush sky. Includes: Basinski, Borkowski, Bragan, Chandler, Cimoli, Cisar, Coscarart, Craig, Dapper, Erskine, Fernandez, Franks, Gentile, Gionfriddo, Harris, Hermanski, Holmes, Jackson, Jorgensen, Kennedy, King, Kipp, Labine, Lehman, Loes, Lund, Mauro, McDevitt, McLish, Miller, Minner, Nahem, Olmo, Pafko, Pfund, Pignatano, Podres, Ramazzotti, Reese, Roe, Schultz, Snider, Stevens, Sukeforth, Taylor, J. Van Cuyk, White and Whitman. Full photo LOA from JSA.

Note: the JSA LOA errantly states that the signature of John Roseboro is on this photo. Roseboro did not sign this photo.
