The 1961 New York Yankees cut a swath through their American League competitors en route to yet another World Series title. This multi-signed 24x36 team composite with (36) autographs was crafted and signed by legendary sports artist Ron Lewis and used as a card show promotion. Despite moderate fraying and paper imperfections, these average (“9”) blue Sharpie endorsements would look great framed and matted. Featured are Bauer, Berra, Crosetti, Ford, Kubek, Mantle, Skowron and Tresh. Full photo LOA from JSA. More on our website.
Signatories include: Arroyo, Bauer, Berra, Blanchard, Boyer, Cerv, Clevenger, Coates, Crosetti, Daley, DeMaestri, Ditmar, Downing, Duren, Ford, Gardner, Gonder, Hale, Houk, James, Kubek, Lopez, Mantle, McDevitt, Reed, Reniff, Richardson, Sain, Sheldon, Skowron, Stafford, Terry, L. Thomas, Torgeson, Tresh, Turley
It should be noted that Lee Thomas, Tony Kubek and Frank Crosetti were not in attendance at the Atlantic City reunion where this print originated. The additions of these three autographs, along with Hank Bauer, were obtained by our consignor at later dates, making this piece much more desirable.
