Sparingly used by the Brooklyn Dodgers’ Montreal Royals affiliate in 1954, Roberto Clemente was plucked by the Pittsburgh Pirates in that year’s November Rookie Draft and went on to torment his former suitor (and every other opposing team) throughout his Hall of Fame career. This Clemente display is framed to 14-1/2 x 20-1/2” and showcases a cut signature projecting (“8”) potency, with a small smear near the end of the surname preventing higher assessment. Full photo LOA from PSA/DNA. This item has a reserve (estimated value: $1000-$1500).
