Description

"Longevity" was the theme as the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers squared off for the nightcap of an August 17, 1990 twinbill. Facing 42-year-old knucklballer Charlie Hough, Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk (also a tender 42 years old) connected for his 349th career home run. The blow was historic as both Fisk's 328th circuit clout as a catcher (breaking Johnny Bench's mark for backstops) and his 187th as a White Sox player, breaking Harold Baines' team standard. This OAL Brown ball is autographed by Fisk (blue ballpoint, "9" strength) and inscribed "HR #328 - 8/17/90." The orb exhibits game use. PSA/DNA sticker.
