Description

Turned for professional use, retail sale or display, these (14) full-size weapons have a common trait of all having been autographed by Major League superstars (several of whom have plaques in Cooperstown!) The bats show varying degrees (if any) of use and showcase bold autographs that average (“8-9”) potency. Includes: Aparicio, Feller, Ja. Giambi, A. Gordon, Gwynn, F. Howard, R. Johnson, (2) Killebrew, Oliva, Ripken, F. Thomas, Wills and Robin/Dustin Yount. Individual certs/sticker or auction LOA from JSA. More on our website.

Luis Aparicio: 1971-1979 Adirondack (30.4-oz/34”) blue-ring display model is signed on the barrel in blue marker (“10” strength). Uncracked bat shows no use. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Bob Feller: 1958-1960 Adirondack (34.2-oz/34”) retail model signed in blue marker (“8-9” strength) and inscribed “HOF 62” between the center brand and barrel stampings. Uncracked bat shows moderate use. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Jason Giambi: Louisville Slugger (28.6-oz/33”) retail signature model with a black “Smith” finish and gold-colored barrel stampings. Giambi has signed in black marker (“9” strength) between the center brand and barrel stampings. Uncracked bat shows no use.

Alex Gordon: Louisville Slugger (30.6-oz/33”) “C243” Pro Stock model signed between the center brand and barrel stampings in blue marker (“8-9” strength). Bat shows moderate use with ball and deeply embedded stitch marks about the barrel, as well as transposed ball stampings, grain swelling/checking on the hitting surface and a 5” crack and tape remnants on the handle. A numeric notation of “21” and an unknown name inscription on the knob suggests use by another player (likely during spring training).

Tony Gwynn: Louisville Slugger (30.6-oz/34”) “C271” Pro Stock model signed in blue marker (“8” strength) between the center brand and barrel stampings. The uncracked lumber shows moderate use with ball and surface marks throughout, as well as a weighted donut impression on the barrel. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Frank Howard: Hillerich & Bradsby (33-oz/33”) signature model retail bat signed between the center brand and barrel stampings in blue marker (“9-10” strength) and inscribed “1960 N.L. R.O.Y.” Uncracked bat shows moderate use. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Randy Johnson: Louisville Slugger (31-oz/34”) “I13” Pro Stock model signed in blue marker (“9-10” strength) just below the center brand. Uncracked bat features a cupped end and shows minimal use, with bat-rack streaks. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Harmon Killebrew: Hillerich & Bradsby (32.2-oz/34”) signature model retail weapon signed between the center brand and barrel stampings in blue marker (“10” strength). Uncracked bat shows heavy use with cleat marks, grain swelling and checking about the barrel, as well as two chips along the knob. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)
Harmon Killebrew: Rawlings-Adirondack (27.8-oz/34”) “232” blue-ring display model signed on the barrel in blue marker (“10” strength) and inscribed “HOF ’84.” Uncracked bat shows no use. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Tony Oliva: 1970s Louisville Slugger (36-oz/33”) retail signature model signed between the center brand and barrel stampings in blue marker (“8” strength). Uncracked bat shows heavy use with finish loss and checking on the hitting surface.

Cal Ripken, Jr.: Louisville Slugger (36.4-oz/36”) “C243” retail signature model signed between the center brand and barrel stampings in blue marker (“7-8” strength). Uncracked bat shows moderate use. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Frank Thomas: Louisville Slugger (30.4-oz/33”) “C243” Pro Stock model signed in blue marker (“8-9” strength) between the center brand and barrel stampings. Uncracked bat features a cupped end and shows heavy use with ball, bat-rack and deeply embedded stitch marks throughout, as well as transposed ball stampings about the barrel, grain swelling/checking on the hitting surface and heavy pine-tar residue on the handle.

Maury Wills: 1965-1968 Hillerich & Bradsby signature model weapon with “Univ of Nebraska” barrel stampings. Wills has signed in blue marker (“8-9” strength) and inscribed “30” between the center brand and barrel stampings. The uncracked professional model lumber shows heavy use with ball, stitch and surface marks throughout, as well as grain swelling and a thin piece of wood missing from the hitting surface. JSA cert/sticker (for autograph)

Robin Yount/Dustin Yount: Louisville Slugger (30.4-oz/33-1/2”) “C243” Pro Stock model signed on the barrel in silver marker by Robin Yount (“8” strength) and Dustin Yount (“9” strength). The bat features a cupped end, a black “Smith” finish and silver-colored barrel stampings. Moderate use is evident in the form of ball and deeply embedded stitch marks on the hitting surface, as well as a 7” crack on the handle’s upper portion.
