Few hockey teams have roused excitement like the Philadelphia Flyers of the 1970s. Nicknamed the “Broad Street Bullies” the 1973-74 Flyers were the first expansion team to win a Stanley Cup. Presented are (3) 35x25 LE litho art prints signed by the same group of (17) “Bullies” (avg. “9-10” signature strength) with Barber, Clement, Dornhoefer, Dupont, Flett, Holmgren, Kelly, Kindrachuk, Leach, Lonsberry, MacLeish, Parent, Saleski, Schultz, Van Impe, Joe Watson, Jim Watson. All of the offered prints are in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear restricted to the corners/edges. Each is hand numbered in pencil at lower left by the artist “Stan Kotzen”. The included prints are numbers 49/300, 57/300 and 58/300, number 49 is the one signed by Clarke. All signers except Holmgren and Leach were on the 1973-74 Flyers team, Leach was on the 1974-75 team which also won a Stanley Cup, Holmgren joined the Flyers in 1976-77 which is considered part of the “Broad Street Bullies” era generally accepted as 1972-78. Barber, Clarke and Parent are members of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
