Description

See the light with this illuminating pair of Rawlings electric displays. Perfectly suited for man-cave or store display both of these vintage advertising pieces are in excellent working condition. Offered are a c.1960s “PAM” clock and a restored “NEON PRODUCTS” sign. The PAM clock shows stunning original details with a like-new face featuring red and black graphics and hands and a brass casing which show light wear. The NEON sign features an original glass plate with lightly worn graphics, new aluminum trim and possibly refinished green casing. More on our website.

The corded PAM clock measures approximately 15x15x3 and is designed to be wall hung by means of a reverse side eye-hole at the twelve o’clock position. The face has a white background and bears the name “Rawlings” and the slogan “The Finest In The Field”. Present on the reverse is the original “PAM Clock Co.“ manufacturing label. This clock contains two light bulbs for illumination purposes, both light sockets are fully functioning, however one of the 130V bulbs needs replacing.

The NEON sign does not have neon tubes, it has a glass panel which is lit from the interior by bulbs. It is referred to here as NEON as the name of the manufacturer is "NEON PRODUCTS". This sign measures 25 x 7-1/2 x 3”. The glass graphics plate shows minor amounts of scattered paint loss which enhances the period authenticity of the graphics which read as “Rawlings Athletic Equipment The Finest In The Field”. The green metal casing has a textured “orange peel” surface which may have been refinished though an original “NEON PRODUCTS” label is adhered to the reverse and shows authentic signs of age appropriate wear. The aluminum trim at the top and bottom of the front appears to be new. This corded sign is designed to stand freely on a counter with rubber feet mounted to the bottom or it can be suspension hung by pairs of folding rings mounted to the side panels.
