Description

Punch your ticket to big game glory with this lot of (8) MLB All-Star Game programs and ticket stubs from the 1957 and 1966 events held at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Present are: (4) 1957 stubs (VG-EX, VG, GD and (1) with VG obverse/adhesive residue on reverse), (2) 1957 programs (Both EX) and (2) 1966 stubs (EX, VG obverse details, adhesive/tape residue on reverse). Both programs are very appealing with nice cover gloss and bold colors, one is scored in pen and lists all-time greats Aaron, Berra, Mantle, Mays and Musial among the starters. More on our website.

Three of the four 1957 stubs and both of the 1966 stub show highly attractive obverses well suited for framed display. The fourth 1957 listed above as GD bears heavy creases possibly due to having been folded, this stub maintains solid appeal despite the presence of the creases. The ’57 stubs feature a dynamic play at second base scene and the ’66 stubs feature an image of Busch Stadium along with the St. Louis “Gateway Arch” and a cardinal perched on a bat. Also include with the ’66 stubs is an original ticket envelope with a replica image of a game ticket on one side and a Busch Bavarian beer ad on the other. The 1957 programs are full of interesting photos and advertisements. The first Busch Stadium was known as Sportsman’s Park until the name was changed to Busch Stadium in 1953. The offered 1957 items were issued at this stadium on 7/9/57. Busch Memorial Stadium opened 1966 and remained in service until the year 2005, the offered 1966 stubs are from the first year of this Busch Stadium version, issued on 7/12/66. The current “New Busch Stadium” opened in 2006.
